1. Should I sign up?
Answer yes if you want to maximize your chances of getting job offers by helping employers to visualize you in the role. Think about this option if you feel, or you have been told by courageous loved ones; that what’s in your closet is holding you back. Answer yes if your image could use a boost, and you’ve always secretly wondered how it would feel to look fantastic! Perhaps you haven’t paid much attention to yourself for a while, maybe you feel embarrassed that you don’t know how to figure out on your own what your personal style is. If you’ve always avoided shopping because you don’t like it, think you can’t afford it, don’t know where to look or what to look for, and don’t have the time – help is waiting.
2. What will I learn?
You will learn what goes into a complete “look” for the type of job you want. The mystery of what will best flatter your body type and bring out your unique personality will become clear. You will learn about how styling, fabrics, accessories, footwear, and colours can be carefully blended to bring out your best self. For those wanting a full makeover, you will be referred to a talented hairstylist and, (for the ladies), make-up artist.
3. How will I learn?
You will engage in an initial consultation where your Work In Progress image specialist will ask you questions about the type of job you are targeting, your lifestyle, fashion concerns, budget, sizing, and goals. You will be treated with dignity and respect because we understand that everyone is sensitive about their appearance. Your image specialist will work with you honestly and tactfully, never pushing you too far outside your comfort zone. Because we know how busy you are, you will have the option of accompanying your image specialist on shopping trips, or having her do the shopping for you and then setting up a “fitting and reveal” meeting. You will be referred to a tailor in your area for alterations where necessary.
4. How will this be useful to me?
When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, it shows – in fact, you can’t hide it if you try. When it shows, people all around you (including at job interviews) are drawn to you like a magnet.
