What does a Work In Progress Image Specialist do?

1. Assess Your Needs
Your first private meeting with your image specialist will be for the purpose of discussing your job target in relation to your current situation, in other words, a) where do you feel you are at with respect to personal style now, b) where would you like to be, and c) what suggestions are you open to? This discussion will include topics such as:
• Both your passions and your insecurities around style
• Personality and how to reflect this through fashion
• Sizing, body type, and body image
• Budget
• Timelines
• Colour
• Clothing and garment structure/cuts
• Footwear
• Accessories
• Hair and/or makeup
• Comfort

2. Shop
After coming to an agreement on to your unique needs, your image specialist will cater to your shopping preferences. You can:
• Have the shopping done for you
• Have the shopping done with you
• Specify the stores where you want to have items purchases
• Leave the selection of stores up to your image specialist
• Any combination of the above options to maximize your comfort and convenience

3. Review Your Results
Once the items are purchased, your image specialist will meet with you to deliver the purchases and/or see how they fit when mixed and matched together in various ways, plus provide you with feedback and additional referrals where necessary (e.g. alterations, hairstylist, make-up artist). In some cases where the shopping is done for you, returns and/or exchanges may be necessary. Your satisfaction is non-negotiable – everything else is.
